The Great Ocean Road has always been a favourite place for me. From my earliest memories the road was very windy with hairpin bends all along it as we hugged the cliff face. It was usually wet with mud and gravel and therefore slippery and difficult driving. I felt the fear as Dad navigated the potholes etc. so that we could access the amazing beaches views and bush-walks. It is much easier now and the area is still very beautiful and worth a visit.
